About The ActivitiesSince starting out in a chicken coop on Finn Hill in 1947, activities at Kirkland Co-op Preschool have not changed much. Children still learn best by playing and becoming social beings. We follow the children's lead when planning our activities.
In the active room we have large and small blocks, dress-up area, play kitchen, dolls, cars and trucks, doll houses, trains, math games, musical instruments, puppets, a genuine record player and a writing center.
Each class does various field trips, depending on their age and interests. We attend the plays presented by Storybook Theater at the Kirkland Performance Center, go to the pumpkin patch in the fall, the Kirkland Library and other locations.
Parents help the teachers plan the activities on a monthly basis. Everyone's ideas and talents are welcome at KCP! |
